Deserters share the fate of rebels

The Lord condemns his people for not defending the cause of orphans or fighting for the rights of widows. Yet he offers to make their scarlet sins as white as snow, if they will give up their evil ways and learn to do good, to seek justice. (Isaiah 1:10-18)

The Lord’s promise: Repent and “Zion will be restored by justice; those who repent will be revived by righteousness.”(v.27)

But be warned: “Rebels and sinners will be completely destroyed, and those who desert the Lord will be consumed.” (v.28)
